Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in California

Judgement

My husband has been laid off for 17 months and hasn't been able to find a job, he has applied everywhere, now a personal loan of $10,000 that i have has fallen way behind and now they are suing me for the balance, do i pay anything to go to court to see if they can stop the judgement?

You need to respond to the lawsuit or else they can get a default judgment.
