small claims

one of my friends has borrowed $1100 from me and is not returning back or answering to my calls or email. what can i do to get my money back?

Send a certified return receipt demand letter (keep a copy) giving a specific date to repay you. If your former friend does not do so, then you'd have to sue in small claims court. Be aware that there is a two-year statute of limitation if there is no written agreement, so you should do it soon.
