SOL on Credit Card Debt Collection

I received a letter from a Collection Agency Stating that Capital One had purchased the debt of my past due Shell Oil card.

The original date of the debt: 11-30-89 (13 and half years ago)

I do not recall ever having a Shell Card, in fact, I lived over seas from 1984-1990. The amount of the debt is $813.67. I have no records from this period. What should I do???

Tell them that

1. Capital One made a bad investment.

2. The SOL ran a long time ago.

3. If they contact you again, you will take legal action against them for harrassment in violation of state and federal laws.
