Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

1. my boyfriend served 22 days in 2006 and was put on probation. He didnt go to a follow up court date and has a warrant. He turned him self in , I was wondering how long he would be sentence for. ( He was put on probation for possesion of weed/ cocaine) .

2. I believe he has been put into jail because i have not heard from him. How do I find out were he has been sent to ?

It really depends on the individual facts surrounding your boyfriends situation, the county he is in, the Judge, and other things to even guess at how long he will have to serve. It also depends on if any further charges were brought against him.

You may be able to find him by looking online. A lot of the jails list the inmates by name or by a reference number. If you know the county where he was convicted, go to that counties web site for the jail. Then look for an inmate look-up or search. Sometimes you can find it on the Sheriff's department web site as well.
