Anything is possible, and every case is different, as is the DA's attitude each day. Your lawyer's job is to negotiate the best possible outcome for the client under all the circumstances, or take the case to trial if that is necessary.

Repeat offenders will generally get less 'sympathy' from the system, but various programs should still an option in this fact situation. Jails are overcrowded and the courts seek to 'clear their calendars' with plea bargains.
