Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Charges of Posession (Marijuana)

My ex was arrested on a new charge of possesesion and now there trying to add a charge of transport as well. However, he had a previous charge HS11378 poss of controlled subst. He was allowed to go to drug diversion classes but never went. He's scheduled to be sentenced for the first charge next week. I want to know is there anything he can do at this point?

Yes hire an attorney. This is a probation revocation hearing and can have serious consequences.

Call me if you decide to take this beyond the comfort of an email

Re: Charges of Posession (Marijuana)

There is lots he can do. He needs a very good attorney to receive a favorable sentence on what appears to be a probation violation situation. He might not have a lot of legal defenses here but what the actual sentence will be very well might be up for grabs. There are also new charges that need to be fought.

I encourage you to call me for a free consultation. I have a lot of marijuana/medical marijuana experience and I know the head DA in charge of the narcotics prosecution in your area. At the very least, I should be able to gauge what you can realistically expect.

Very best,
