felony conviction

i was convicted of embelzement in california in 1976 or 1977 for taking money from a bank. i pleaded guilty, was convicted, made full restitution and was on probation for 1 year. how can i find out if this is on file, if so, how do i get it expunged?

Record exists and you can obtain your own DOJ record through their website, then you will know exactly what the record is and yes it can be expunged.

Of course it 'is on file'. You probably can get it expunged, allowing you to say 'no' to convictions on private employment applications not involving bonding, clearances, licensing, or government employment. Feel free to contact me for help in doing so.
