Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

I have found out that a lawyer in cal is telling people that I have killed someone when I did not . should I file a complit with the state bar.

Absolutely! Go to http://calbar.ca.gov. There you can file a complaint. I would also consider getting another attorney to file a slander or libel case against the attorney, depending upon whether it was written or not. I can see know reason why the attorney would have immunity to say such harmful things about you.
