Legal Question in Criminal Law in California

Looking for Good Representation!

On the date of 1/12/2003 I was placed under citizen's arrest for 602 PC. Trespassing and 10853 CVC.Malicious Mischief to vehicle. I jumped over a fence on to private property and was making a joke to my girlfriend by sitting on a golf cart going vroom vroom. I had not tried to start or move the cart in anyway. I went to court on 3/24/03 and pleaded not guilty and it was extended to 4/02/03 and the charges went to 602 Pc. and 10851 (A) VC. taking vehicle without owners consent and I pleaded not guilty. On 4/7/03 I went back to court and got a continuence till 4/24/03. I attempted to go to court on the 24th but was unable to so I called the court and let them know and they said to come in tomorrow morning at 8am. I was in the courthouse at 8:02 and they said sorry I was to late. So they put a warrant for my arrest which esculated into felony failure to appear on what was a misdimeanor according to the citation the officer gave me. Since this I have been harrassed and believe to have had my rights violated and would like to have the help of an attorney that can work with me I can only afford around $500. to detain and can work with you after that fact. Starting next weekend I am suppose to start doing weekends for this charge.

Re: Looking for Good Representation!

Thank you for your inquiry.

I'm sorry to hear about this case that has now escalated into a felony. Not having an attorney represent you in court has already cost you some time and frustration, and I strongly recommend, as you seem to now agree, that having an attorney's guidance would greatly help you with these borderline charges.

I can help you with more details, and I invite you to email or call my office.

I hope that this answer helps, but if you have other questions, want more information, or feel that you need legal representation, please feel free to email me directly at [email protected]. I'm happy to help in any way that I can.
