Can a person who has been convicted of rape, who then appeals the case, be allowed to be put on house arrest and able to leave his home only when with another person, and if granted by the judge, how can the victom fight this? Can she request police watch or anything?

Unless the court grants a stay of execution of the judgment and set bail the defendant should began serving the sentence. Contact the district attorney regarding the stay on the sentence and your safety concerns.
