what is the process to try and get your sentence remodified? where would i start?

You could go to a law library and look in the criminal law books for instructions on how to do it. Often times there are sample motions that are provided. Otherwise, hire an attorney to do it for you.

Sentences don't get modified without a proper and timely motion, with an effective, strong showing of legally sufficient good cause such as judicial error. "Just because", or "I don't like it", is not good cause. You should consult with criminal counsel to see if there is any hope of such motion succeeding.
