Legal Question in DUI Law in California

Open Alcohol container citation - on your record?

Hello!

I was curious to know if one gets an alcohol open container citation in Los Angeles if it is on your record? Or do you just pay it and it goes away? Also are you obligated to tell your employer about it?

Thank you!

A citation is a criminal charge, pay the fine - you plead guilty, go to court and lose = found guilty. Of course it is on your record.
