Legal Question in DUI Law in California

Suspended License

I have 3 DUI's. The last DUI I got was 5 years ago. I've been sober for over 2 years and I'm attending a DMV required 30 month alcohol program. My license is suspended but I was caught driving about two weeks ago during a check point. My car was towed (but was released a week later) and I have to go to court. What are my chances of having it dropped to an infraction? How can I avoid having DMV further suspend my license?

Thank you in advance for your time.

Re: Suspended License

Driving on a suspended license is a misdemeanor that a good attorney is going to have to work hard at to keep you out of substantial jail time [FYI: 1st offense, min 10 days; 2nd offense, min 30 days]. Your 'prior' history is not going to set well with the judge and DA, so you better get a good attorney. Contact me if interested.
