Legal Question in Education Law in California

If I am unhappy with dicipline at my sons school because of bullying is there any legal action a person can take? Isn't staff responsible for my child's physical and emotional well being while on campus? Since I am homeschooling my son am I entitled to any monetary reimbursement( the school is getting paid and I am doing the teaching?)

You question is confusing. If you are homeschooling, why are there concerns about the school since your son is not on campus?

Hello:

School districts can be liable if they are aware of a bullying/harassment situation and ignore it, which causes harm to the student. However, the inquiry is totally fact specific as far as what they knew, what they did, harm, etc.

You are not entitled to reimbursement for home schooling. Home schoolers pay taxes for schools, even though their kids don't attend. However, the District should not be getting any additional funding, e.g. for daily attendance, if your children are not enrolled.

Best of luck.
