Legal Question in Elder Law in California

This involves a Reverse Mortgage that my mother took out in 2004. She has now seen 84 years. My brother and I have legal Power of Attorney to represent her in all matters both separately or jointly.

My mother could not fully comprehend the agreement when she entered into the agreement and still does not understand the agreement now. She did not read the the agreement but did sign where she was shown to sign, believing that the verbal explanation as she understood it represented the complete and accurate agreement. Whether miss represented or she didn't understand, she believed that she would receive payments for the balance of her life.

I need an Attorney to help with this cause.

Shortly after receiving a few payments they were discontinued due to the failure of repairs required by the agreement . Again she was not aware of this. Payments have never resumed despite the fact that required repairs have been completed, inspected and required proof sent to Financial Freedom in February 2010. The payments are being added to her account and charged interest as if they were paid but instead are held in an account that does not receive interest for disbursement sometime in the future.

There much more to this cause involving Financial Freedom Corp than space here allows. I believe the contract between my mother and Financial Freedom Corp should be dissolved and the damages caused by Financial Freedom Corp both mentally and financially be reimbursed. Financial Freedom Corp took advantage of an elderly person that due to declining mental capacity was incapable of comprehending the agreement that Financial Freedom Corp. offered her. Financial Freedom Corp has continued to take advantage in other matters involving this agreement during the term of this agreement up to this date.
