Legal Question in Family Law in California

My boyfriend is eighteen years old, is still in high school, and lives with his mother. Is he legally obligated to follow curfews and such? For example, if he leaves the house without his mother's permission could she get the cops involved? Does she have any legal control over what he does and where he goes and how late he stays out anymore?

She has no legal control. She also, however, no longer has any legal obligation to support him. So the fact that she cannot call the police anymore, doesn't mean he has the right to do as he pleases. If someone is providing a roof over your head and supporting you, you have an obligation to conform to their needs and wishes too. If you choose to ignore what they need and want, you have no right to claim their support anymore either. It cuts both ways, unless you're a user deadbeat loser.
