Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

My divorce decree reads as follows; Joint legal and joint physical custody, with primary residence with father. Mother has standard 80-20 visitation schedule. My question is, does this wording mean child support payed to me by my ex-wife is based on both her and my income? I have recently secured a much higher paying position, and would like to know if this will effect how much she pays per month, or if our incomes differ drastically, would I have to pay her?

Re: Child Support

Guideline child support calculation is based upon the net incomes of both parties and could possibly result in you paying her child support. Get a guideline child support calculation and that will answer your question. Good Luck, Pat McCrary
