Legal Question in Family Law in California

Child Support

My husband is paying his ex-wife child support which is taken out of his paycheck every 2 weeks. He usually only gets paid twice per month, and they divide his monthly payments by 2. However, this month he is scheduled to get paid 3 times. Should his support payments be divided by 3? If so, what can I do if his work has already taken out what they normally take out when he gets paid twice per month?

Re: Child Support

Most employers multiply the monthly amount by 12 and divide by 26 to get the amount that should be taken from each pay check to get the court ordered amount of the payment. You can verify the amount to be withheld by the above method. If the employer has made a mistake give written notice.
