California Law. How old does a child have to be to make their own decision to see the noncustodial parent?

18. As long as the child remains a minor, the Court continues to have the authority over the decision. The child's opinion is a factor, and the older the child, the more weight may be given to that opinion, but the Court has to balance that opinion with the goal of CA that children have continuing contact with both parents.
