Legal Question in Family Law in California

child-visitation

I currently live 40 miles away from my 3 yr. old sons Father and My fiance and I are wanting to buy a home in an upscale community about 200 miles away. The move will not change the visitation but it will increase travel time. My son's Father says the move is unacceptable because it will prevent him from excersing his weds night visits. The Father has not once excersised these visits and says he will allow the move if I will increase his alternating weekends to thurs thru monday instead of friday thru monday. Can he provent us from moving? i gave him his 45 day noitice 1/31. Can he blackmail me with visitation? On what grounds can he prevent me from Moving?

The court is very unlikely to stop the move but could adjust the visitation to give a little more time with the father.
