Legal Question in Family Law in California

Court order concerning 'casual dating partners'

In my divorce/custody a court order was drafted, part of the wording states 'will not expose son to casual dating partners'. What constitues casual dating partners? If I am engaged to the person, and she is going to move in does that violate the court order and give her permission to take custody?

Reply: Court order concerning 'casual dating partners'

In a general sense, casual dating is not the same thing as being engaged to become marital partners. Your Judgment should be reviewed by an experienced family law lawyer.

For a specific opinion regarding your individual circumstances, I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
