Legal Question in Family Law in California

While going through a divorce, can I take kids out of my COUNTY (not country) for 36 hours? Or do I need permission? I only can find information about out of state or out of the country.

Out of the county is fine, as long as out of the county does not mean out of the state.

Unless you have a highly unusual pretrial custody order, you cant take them anywhere in the state.
