Legal Question in Family Law in California

How do I file a motion to disclose an address on a proof of summons that states I was served but the address of service is confidential? In fact I was never served but based upon the proof of summons I was. As a result a "default" judgment was entered due to a missed court hearing.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I would file for a motion to set aside the default so that you can get back into the case. If you dispute service that would be at issue for the default motion. You can drag the server in and talk about whether or not service was properly performed on you.

For self represented individuals you can consult with the family law facilitator self help center at your local court house.

As always please consult a local attorney prior to taking legal action. Good luck. Also please check out my Santa Clara County Family Lawyer blog.
