Legal Question in Family Law in California

Full custody of my daughter.

My daugther is 9 years old, never married her father has never paid child support, he is disable with a mental illnes an gets SS, I can't afford a lawyer and I want to have full custody of my child,what can I do if a don't have the money to hire a lawyer. Thank you

If your local court has a facilitators office you may contact them to help you with the paperwork. Your child may be entitled to collect social security benefits based upon her father's disability. I do not know if you will need a judgment of paternity or maybe only a birth certificate in order to be entitled to those benefits.
