grandparents rights

my grandson is in a fostercare facility in riverside. my son is in custody facing criminal charges regarding my grandson and the mother of the child is nowhere to be found. how can i find where my 6 month old grandson is and visit him? i have christmas presents for him. i dont want to make trouble i just want to see my grandson. i have been trying since october and get no call backs from cps dpss or anyone about this. do i have any rights in this matter?

You should have had priority placement over foster care. It is imperitive that you bring this to Juvenile Court's attention if you want to have your grandson placed with you. I have seen too many cases where the foster mother ends up adopting the child. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.
