Legal Question in Family Law in California

Hi,

We had no children, assets, etc. I already filed the Summary Dissolution. I need to speak to the judge to ask him to seal the record as well as dissolve the first of my ex's and my marriages as we were instructed to remarry after his identity change and placement in the witness protection program. So, to the law, it looks as if I'm married to two people.

I'm doing everything myself because I can't afford an attorney. I have to be able to write and file a motion to ask the judge to do this for me, but I don't know how. Because my case is so unique, I'm having difficulty finding anyone who can assist me properly. Thanks.

It requires a motion, for which there is no statewide form. Motions to seal are very difficult to have granted, and it will require you to cite the law regarding his placement in the witness protection program.
