Legal Question in Family Law in California
My ex husband and his wife harass me via email and through letters from his lawyer with false acusations even though I have asked them several times to stop. Every email sent to me contains spiteful remarks and lies as if they are trying to set me up. I have saved every email including one where they told me I could not attend certain public functions and they are currently threatening me with having me arrested for tresspassing someplace that I have every right to be. He works in law enforcement and thinks he is above the law and is always threatening me with legal action without just cause. Can I get a restraining order at this point? Every time they threaten me with legal action or accuse me of anything they never send proof to back it up, simply because their acusations are all lies. I'm tired of having to watch my every move because they are always watching me. They are obsessed with me and my new life. Their behavior is effecting our kids, my oldest can see how they manipulate everything and twist his words to fire back at me. I try not to respond to his lies but I feel if I dont respond with the truth he will try to use the lies against me saying well she never said it was not true, etc. They use intimidation at every turn. Again, each and every email from them contains derogitory comments about me or my family, threats for legal action and other comments showing just how jelous they are.
