Legal Question in Family Law in California

Went ''In-Pro-Per ''until EX bought himself a lawyer! Help

Hi, My ex and I went in pro per from start of divorce until as of late. He hasn't been living up to financial obligations and I took him back to mediation. I have a son that doesn't want to be at his father's house at all, yet dad hasn't paid much of anything, as far as raising him goes. I cover medical, dental, vision, school lunches, clothing, school supplies.. You name it, I've paid it. Mediation came up with agreement whereby my son goes to his father every other weekend for 26 hrs. (my son's stipulation) and my ex agreed to this. Since, he secured an attorney and is trying to get my son forced back into his week/week with each parent. My son says that he will not go to his dad's for this. I need assistance. I was looking for child support too, since I haven't asked for it, up until now. My son has been spending the majority of his time with me, approx. 95% for the last 16 months. I know lawyers are worth their weight in gold in this instance, but I have a hard time letting go of money, when I know that it should be reserved for my son's upbringing. If there is anyone out there, in Sacramento, CA area that can provide me with affordable assistance, or show ME the ropes, I wouldn't mind proceeding on my own!

There is a department of Child support services in every county. They will enforce the child support order and help you get your child support set at the legal amount. There is no charge for this service. The offset is that it is much slower than an attorney.
