Legal Question in Family Law in California

My love for my daughter

Hello

I have a little girl 10 years old and she has lived with my sister for 8 years my sister lives next door so my daughter knows who i am calls me mommy and calls her antie.

my sister could never have kids so i told her she could share mine . Here is the catch

my sister and her husband are moving out of california and my daughter loves my sister and want to go with her, my sister wants me to sign over my parents rights to her so she could put my daughter on her health insurance (i have her now on my health insurance with my job) , i cannot find it in my heart to do so.Her and her husband has claimed her on there income tax for the passed 6 years. Is there any other way i could let her go but at the same time dont have to give up my parent right?

Thank You

Re: My love for my daughter

I don't see why you need to sign over your parental rights. I suppose you could keep her on your health insurance and leisure go on extended visit with your sister.
