Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am not married and I have two kids. The father of my boys just claimed both of my kids on his taxes without me knowing it. My claim was rejected because his tax return cleared before mine. Am I entitled to claiming one like I have for eight years. What do I need to do to get the one claimed as mine. It will cost me thousands in return money if I can not claim one kid.
