Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am a memeber of the Uniformed Services. My mother cared for my child while I was an active duty member, for 5 years. Now that I am deploying again, she states that she has sole custody of him which is not true, and has threatned to take me to court. Is there any way that I can find out if I have sole custody of my son? I'm pretty sure that I do, but the thought of losing him is a pain that I cannot bear. The case was opened in San bernardino California, in 2001. I moved out of state in 2002, and she moved out of state of well in 2006. Thank you for you assistance. It is desperately and greatly appreciated.

http://www.sbcounty.gov/courts/index.asp

If it was a dependency, or paternity case, you won't be able to access it online. If it was some other case, however, you may be able to view the minute orders to determine what the court ordered.
