Legal Question in Family Law in California

Obtaining Full Custody

My ex wife is an adult video star. When she filed the custody paperwork, she did not include that on her income sheet also she told the mediator she was no longer ''in that line of work'' when in fact she was. I pay her child support, but because her ''work'' is paid under the table I have no way to prove how much she is actually making, which I know is far much more than I do. I fear for the safety of my son when he is with her, because of the high profile she has. I also believe that she leaves our son in the care of her father and his girlfriend for days at a time while she is at ''work''. I have a stable government job, and spend all free time I have with my son when he is in my care. Would it be increasingly difficult for me to obtain full custody of my son because of this?

Re: Obtaining Full Custody

I don't understand your question. Why would having a stable government job effect your ability to gain custody of your son? It seems like the issues are with her ability to protect your son and not the nature of your job. Feel free to email me with more facts.

Sincerely,

Re: Obtaining Full Custody

If your ex has lied to the mediator, and you can substantiate that, it would be a start to show that under the circumstances it is in the child's interest to be with you. I have handled similar cases with drug abuse and solicitation issues, and have been very successful.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience should you wish to discuss this further.
