Legal Question in Family Law in California

Palimony

Does California have any palimony laws for non-married live-together relationships? If I break up with my girlfriend that I have been lving with and supporting, will she be entitled to any palimony payments or settlements? By "supporting", I mean paying the rent, buying food, buying her clothes, and giving her cash to help pay her bills.

Re: Palimony

No palimony. However, you can be sued for breach of contract if you made a promise to support this person and then broke the promise after there was reasonable detrimental reliance on the part of the person to whom you made the promise.
