Legal Question in Family Law in California

Paternity Rights after 12 years

I have been in contact with a woman on an online social networking site. We have established a one night affair 13 years ago. She acknowledges another one night affair one week after ours. She claims a 12 year old child by one of the two men, however, has married a third man and that man is the legal stepfather, (in CA). She is requesting my blood type to establish paternity, claiming curiosity, not support. I believe that DNA test is more accurate, but am not sure if I should suggest that. What are the rights of both her and I, financially and otherwise, given that this is brand new to me after 13 years of no contact.

Re: Paternity Rights after 12 years

This is too complex for an internet answer. The most probable reason for her request is that she is seeking money from the father.
