Legal Question in Family Law in California

protecting assets from divorce

I am single and contemplating marraige.

Will creating an estate/trust and including all my property in it, protect it in the case of a divorce?

What other way besides a pre-nup could be used to achieve the same result.

If I marry outside US, is the pre-nup signed in the other country valid in the US?

Thx.

Based upon California law, your best protection is a well drafted Pre Nuptial Agreement.

I suggest that you consult with an experienced family law lawyer. Experience is not expensive, it's priceless!
