Legal Question in Family Law in California

I am representing myself in a divorce action. My ex wife served me a order to show cause. Went to that hearing and the judge order a evidentuary hearing with a mandatory settlement conference. I believe I need to file a statement for the MSC. Would this be a statement of facts, issues and contentions? I cannot find anything on the internet as a sample. Is this just something typed on pleading paper with the issues and my defense? The judge sent us back to mediation for the child custody issues. I believe this is for the attorney fees.

Thank You

Michael

You should look in the court's local rules. They usually outline what must be put in a MSC Statement. If not, there are guidelines in the California Rules of Court. It is typed up on pleading paper.
