Legal Question in Family Law in California

i was served my divorce paper's and was named the respondent. When i fill out my papers (fl120, fl142, fl160, etc. ) am i now the petitioner or still the respondent.

once established as the respondent, you remain the respondent through the whole process, even if you make a motion to the court to request some order
