If and unmarried mother and father were scheduled to go to court for child custody,but they get married to each other and don't go to court,does the fact that they got married close that case?

Probably not automatically, although if there was a court date that you did not attend the court may have dismissed it. You need to check with the court clerk's office to see if the case has been dismissed by the judge. If not, the person who started the custody proceeding needs to file a request for dismissal.
