Legal Question in Family Law in California

My ex wife refuses to return my son to CA from CO after visitation. I have sole physical custudy and the ex and I have shared legal. She has put him in school there. The kid is 14. I know I have to go to the court and notify them. What FL forms and what docs do I need to file?

I would suggest that you file an ex-parte Order to Show Cause for immediate return of your son. An ex-parte is an emergency hearing. You can go to your local courthouse and go to the forms window. The clerk should be able to give you the documents you need to fill out. You need to tell the clerk that you need to file an ex-parte order to show cause. Also most courts have legal aid to help you fill out the proper forms. In addition, you need to call the District Attorney's office and report the child abduction.

Best of Luck.
