Legal Question in Medical Leave in California

Can my husband take time off to makesure I'm okay

I have recently been put off work by my Physician for Extreme anxity and depression. i was also refered to a Phycaitrist or Phycologis for counseling and prescribed medication to releive some of the anxity and depression, my husband has taken time off work to take me to the doctor and to stay with me to make sure I'm okay because I do not want to be alone. My question is, is this covered under FMLA, or will he lose his job because he stayed home to take care of me.

He has to apply in advance and be approved for FMLA leave. There are limits and conditions on such spousal care leaves. If they refuse, an attorney may be able to change their mind. Contact me if you need counsel to help.
