Legal Question in Medical Leave in California

Mom had stroke

My mom had a stroke and heart attack ans is paralized. She is in a nursing home rehibilitation center. I want to make sure for the first month she is getting the best care and want to be there. Do I have the right to take family leave act. Thanjk you
