Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

I have been awarded an arbitration award and no response from the contractor after 30 days.

What would be the proper proceedures to collecting the award? Will this have to go to court for confirmation before attempting to collect? Could this be done without council?

Thank you for your time

If this is a situation of your civil suit having gone to arbitration and no objection being filed by the other side, then you might have to file a motion confirming arbitration award to get a formal judgment. Ask the arbitrator if he forwards the award directly onto the court for entry of a judgment. You do not need an attorney for that.
