Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Hostile work environment

What constitutes a hostile work environment in California. I'm afraid to even open mail from my boss because he is so hateful. He uses every opportunity to belittle me and it's making me ill. What recourse do I have - he's the CEO.

If you can show it is sexual harassment or something like that, then you may have a claim under the discrimination laws. If that is the case, feel free to contact me to discuss the facts and issues.

If it is 'simple' harassment, and that he is a jerk that treats you and everyone badly, then your remedy is to quit. Nobody said life is fair, or that employers have to be nice.
