Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Journal photocopied by estranged spouse

Can I take any legal action against my estranged spouse, who has photocopied my journal and made written comments replying to what I wrote? Spouse has not provided or shared the photocopy with comments to anyone but me and has not taken the original journal, which was kept at our house. Unknown to me, spouse photocopied journal after moving out. Is this invasion of privacy or is the commentary, which is negative about me, but not threatening, considered harrassment? Do I have any legal recourse?

Re: Journal photocopied by estranged spouse

As long as she does not share the contents of the journal with anyone there is not much you can do. You could consider injunctive releif through an invasion of privacy action, but that is a fairly involved action that will require much time and effort.
