I am no longer convicted of a misdemeanor sex offense,yet l am told that as l am not a resident of California l must continue to register as a sex offender. l am required to pay for a crime that l am not convicted of. l would like to file a law suit but who to sue and what kind of a lawyer do l employ?

My suggestion is that you speak to an attorney and find out if you are really required to register, and not set off on a wild goose chase.
