Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

okay my mom has gotten a hold of money and decided to help out her adult children with one thing thats holding them back,mine was a car. so she takes me to buy acar and it was putinto her name since she purchased it and the next day it got impounded due to no insurance and my license expired . a call her to let her know what had happend and she basically takes it out the impound with me still thinking she was just going to bring it to me,i havent gotten it back, so what if anyhting can i legally so to reclaim my car, can i sue her in small claims court ?i have several witnnesses, my kids please help?

You're kidding, right? Your mom does you a huge favor, and you repay her by getting a car that she is legally responsible for impounded because you can't be bothered to have a valid license and insurance. And now you want to sue your MOTHER because you are too irresponsible to keep a car she gave you? Really? Sue your MOTHER? Because you can't be a responsible adult? REALLY?
