Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

my niece (18) through marriage, before she married my nephew had an affair. While in this affair she took naked photos of herself and sent them to this man (28) and while in his room she also allowed him to take a short video of herself. Since then he wants to ruin her marriage. He has sent the photos to his father who has distributed them to my sister (mother of my nephew), put them on my mothers desktop, sent them to me, and sent the video to my email box as well. He has threatened to put them on the internet as well. Is there any legal ramifications for slander and liable?

No, but there are for invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, etc. He is also a prime candidate for a restraining order. Your niece should discuss this situation with a local attorney. It's not something you can do on her behalf.

If she was under 18 you could get in trouble for possession of child pornography. Better worry about yourself first.

I could represent her in getting a tro if she wanted to, but there is not much you yourself can do unless she wants to get an attorney.
