Legal Question in Civil Litigation in California

Rental Car Accident & Insurance Co Claim

I was in an accident with a rented moving truck. It was not covered by my insurance. I do not belive that the accident was my fault, it was caused by the vehicle steering going out. The rental truck insurance company says it is my fault and wants payment.

How can I prove that the accident was not my fault? Who do I go after, their insurance company or the rental company outlet? Do I need a lawyer or is this a small calims issue (for damage of $8k)?

Thanks!

Re: Rental Car Accident & Insurance Co Claim

Should have been investigated and/you will have to prove that accident caused by steering going out.
