Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

Adjustment of Status Potential Issue

Hi all - I want to thank you all for your expertise and help! Ok, so here is my question. First, some history... My [now] wife came to visit me Oct 5, 06 from Canada (canaidan citizen) and stayed for a while, after two months we decided to get married (not the initial intention, rather, just a visit) and were on 12'06. We filed for Adjustment of Status (I-485, I-130, I-765, I-864) and mailed it off. Everything has been received and it is in process. We just received our Interview date and the letter stated that if there were any criminal offenses including drunk driving we should bring paperwork of that.

Well, she got a DUI last August 06 in Vancouver, but its not a crim there. Is that going to be a problem? Also, do they generally deny AoS applicants due to DUI's? Or is everything going to be ok? Anotehr slight problem is her friend used her name when she was arrested for a DUI (they are not drunks lol) so now it's going to appear like she has two strikes against her. In canada they have graduated licenses so they are both young (24) and their license do not permit them to have any alcohol (like our rule if you're under 21). Anyhow, any help or ideas/thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks!

Regards,

Troy
