Legal Question in Immigration Law in California

ex-spouse wants to leave the country but claims to have no money

Last year, I filed a K-1 petition and got married. We divorced soon after, before we had any interviews, and my ex-wife moved to live with a new fiance. She says that because of the divorce she must now leave the country. She wants to marry her new fiance before then. She tells me that she spoke to a lawyer and that I must buy her a return ticket to her home country. If I dont, she says she will notify the INS that she has no money to return home, and that I will be required to pay much more.

Is she making an empty threat or am I financially responsible for her even though our divorce is final? During K-1 application process I never filled out an affidavit of support (I-134) because it is not required, and since we divorced before the adjustment interview, I never filled out the longer version of the affidavit of support (I-864). Is there any law that requires me to pay for the cost of her leaving the country?
